Machine Learning For Artists

Developer and Software Artist and ITP Adjunct Professor Gene Kogan was the DBRS Innovation Labs’ researcher in residence for the month of April. During his time, he made strides on his new interactive book Machine Learning For Artists (written in collaboration with former Labs’ Research Resident Francis Tseng.) Machine learning is an exciting branch of computer science that is responsible for everything from Netflix recommendations to self-driving cars. Kogan’s book offers a comprehensive introduction to machine learning for those without an extensive technical background, to help people dive right in and begin experimenting with the machine learning techniques that are becoming more and more prominent parts of the technology landscape.
