Deployed is a cinematic interactive installation that tells the story of a dependent of a deployed member of the military during a deployment cycle.
Utilizing motion capture and virtual reality technology Deployed is an immersive installation that has taken the storytelling experience out of the VR goggles and into a shared space of video, light, and sound.
With cinematic techniques, Deployed draws the participants into the sensations of what it is to be part of a deployment. Vignettes of sights and sounds of family members leaving and of family members left behind and the day to day that follows makes for a prescient and contemplative experience.
