Hannah Davis
ITP Alumna, Hannah Davis, Makes the Time 100 Next List Under Advocates.
Millions of Americans have been impacted by Long COVID—the continuation or emergence of symptoms following an initial COVID-19 infection. These symptoms range from mild to debilitating and can last for months or even years.
Amid her own experience with Long COVID, Hannah Davis became an advocate for others, pursuing funding for Long COVID research and pushing government leaders to improve support. She co-founded the Patient-Led Research Collaborative, which has been at the forefront of Long COVID advocacy efforts during the pandemic, and she’s published and co-authored multiple widely cited research papers. In July, she also testified before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, pushing to increase public awareness of the condition and to prioritize helping Long COVID patients and meeting their needs.
Davis’ advocacy has been a light in the darkness for many people whose Long COVID struggles have been doubted or dismissed. America will hear more from Hannah and the many who struggle with the ongoing effects of COVID-19.
