Michael Schneider

As an award-winning interaction designer and systems specialist, Michael Schneider is an integral part of ESI’s Interactive Media & Technology Design team and brings a strategic approach to the creative implementation of interactive A/V technologies for a wide range of client projects. Michael draws upon his extensive expertise in interactive systems, interaction design, system design and assistive technology to create innovative solutions for projects such as the Shanghai Corporate Pavilion, Ellis Island and Beacon Capital Partners. He is also a key contributor to the ESI Game Lab, where he has created and launched large live-action games for game festivals around the country. He is also a founder of the ESI Lab, which supports an iterative design approach, getting designers hands on technology early in the design process. In addition to his design work, he was also a speaker at the 2011 SEGD Xlab Conference where he discussed the opportunities and risks associated with designing with new technology. Prior to receiving his Masters in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU’s Tisch School, Michael completed a two-year apprenticeship in Korean traditional folk song in Seoul, Korea.
