Join us for a tour of the new and improved Enigma Public, a free platform that connects people to public data! Learn how to explore tens of thousands of datasets through full-text search, filtering, and quick statistics. Incorporate public data into your own work using our redesigned API or by exporting the data to .csv files.
In this talk we will also highlight problems around building interfaces for extremely heterogeneous datasets, and touch on some of the ways that we’ve put public data to use, like our Labs projects on sanctions, health and the North Dakota energy boom.
Abe has been a software engineer at Enigma since graduating from ITP in 2015. He also recently taught Python to undergraduates as an adjunct professor at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences.
