UX Career Design for ITPers

** Note: this is NOT a formal recruitment event for Google! But rather 2 ITP alumni want to share their experience of how they ended up working at Google after graduating from ITP.

ITP Alumni will share their experience on entering the UX industry without a traditional UX background. The discussion will focus on the different types of designer roles at Google, building an effective portfolio and job application process. The talk will include an interactive session on communication design.

Prior to ITP, Ilwon Yoon studied fine arts, but deeply interested in social media, which led him to join ITP to learn how to build mobile/web product. Currently, he is working at Google Social, building a new social product.

Jayati Ambekar came to ITP after studying Computer Science. Her interest in information architecture and prototyping led her to Interaction Design. At present she designs consumer experiences for Google Express.
