Portfolio Reviews with ITP Alumni

** THIS EVENT IS ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT ITP STUDENTS AND IS NOW FULL. **

ITP Alumni Caroline Sinder, Erika Miller and Alex Coym want to talk about what they've learned companies look for in a candidate's portfolio, and talk about some good and not-so-good examples. After, there will be a chance for one-on-one time for people who'd like a quick personal portfolio review. (This will not be a recruiting session but they are happy to talk about what it's like to talk about working in design at IBM.)

Caroline Sinders is an artist and user researcher at IBM Watson who works in conversation, natural language processing and chat bots.

Erika Miller is a software designer for IBM Watson Health, focusing on Information Architecture, and the experience of gaining insights from big health data using Watson's cognitive engine.

Alexandra Coym  is a Senior Interaction Designer at frog Design where she uses human-centered design to understand and translate user insights into compelling experiences across platforms. Her focus lies on large scale complex systems and connected products and how humans engage emotionally with technology. Her ITP Thesis was an intelligent reminder system for the home for people with early stage Alzheimer's.

All are from the ITP class of 2014, and wanted to offer help to current / soon-to-graduate ITPers with portfolio planning and design.
