Paul Rothman Alumni Talk

Please join us on Friday, September 10th from 1 - 2 p.m. EST for a talk by Paul Rothman.

Paul Rothman will be discussing his experiences working in different technology roles which have in large part focused on hardware design and development. He will touch upon his experiences in several different roles and work environments and spend time focusing on his current role in city government including some topics from the NYC IoT Strategy which he co-authored.


Paul Rothman is a technologist who has had the privilege to work in many different environments. From starting a company making music equipment and consulting electronic and concept designs for artists, to being a founding member of littleBits electronics, an educational hardware startup. Currently, Paul is the Director of the Smart Cities + IoT Lab in the NYC Mayor’s Office of the CTO where he works on both policy and technology development that focuses on connected devices. Paul has a Bachelors of Music from NYU which concentrated on Music Technology and he received a Masters from ITP-Tisch where he was also a Resident Researcher and adjunct instructor.
