Nancy Hechinger is full-time faculty at NYU’s ITP. She teaches Applications, one of the foundation classes, Cabinet of Wonders (an exploration into museums, exhibitions and technology) and thesis. She is also the Area head for Thesis. Before coming to ITP, she worked in the field of education & technology at a number of organizations, e.g. the American Museum of Natural History, the Edison Project and the Apple Multimedia Research Lab.  She also has published her own poetry as well as educational texts in human sciences.

Gabriel Barcia-Colombo is a mixed media artist whose work focuses on collections, memorialization and the act of leaving one's digital imprint for the next generation. His work takes the form of video sculptures, immersive performances, large scale projections and vending machines that sell human DNA. His work plays upon this modern exigency in our culture to chronicle, preserve and wax nostalgic, an idea which Barcia-Colombo renders visually by “collecting” human portraits on video.
