Photogrammetry + Cultural Heritage

Ancient statues

Photogrammetry is the use of photography in surveying and mapping to measure distances between objects.

Project Mosul is an initiative by Matthew Vincent and Chance Coughenour, researchers at ITN-DCH, who are on a mission to reconstruct artifacts destroyed by Islamic State in the Middle East.

We will be surveying different methods for creating a 3D model using photogrammetry, learn about Project Mosul, their mission, and how you can contribute.

** Presentation by ITP Alum and Resident, Ziv Schneider who is working on this project in collaboration with Project Mosul.
