Bio:

Tal Yarden is currently designing video for Lazarus by David Bowie & Enda Walsh (New York Theater Workshop), The Crucible (Broadway), Indecent (Yale & La Jolla) and The Damned(Comédie-Française).  Recent work includes Kings of War (Toneelgroep Amsterdam), Between Worlds (ENO Barbican) and Antigone (Barbican).  He has also designed The Fountainhead(Toneelgroep Amsterdam), Brokeback Mountain (Teatro Real). Previous projects include Der Schatzgräber (De Nederlandse Opera), Mazeppa (Komische Oper Berlin) and Macbeth (Opéra de Lyon), Ludwig II (Münchner Kammerspiele), Edward II, The Misanthrope (Schaubühne), La Clemenza de Tito, Idomeneo (La Monnaie), POP! (Yale), Husbands, The Russians, Children of the Sun, Cries and Whispers, Antonioni Project, Angels in America, Mourning becomes Electra, Roman Tragedies (Toneelgroep Amsterdam) and Wagner’s Ring Cycle (Vlaamse Opera).

 In New York he has designed King Lear (Public), Distracted (Roundabout), Little Foxes, Liberty City, Beast, The Misanthrope, Kaos (New York Theater Workshop), Lush Valley, Sounding(HERE), Futura (NAATCO), The King is Dead, Not Garden (Stephen Petronio), Tight Right White,Quotations from a Ruined City (Reza Abdoh), Production Design: Corpus Exquisitus, A Dog and Pony Show (Chashama).

Tal Yarden has designed events, video installations & projections for many clients including People’s Climate March, UNAIDS, United Nations, Microsoft, New York Times, Smart Car, Puma, Levis, Coca Cola, Heineken & Red Cross. He has also directed live video with Annie Lennox, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg, James Brown, Garbage, Wyclef Jean, Peaches, Patti Smith, Moby, Lady Sovereign and David Byrne. 

He is an Artistic Technology Consultant for the Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center.
