The radio musical, THE EDGE OF NIGHT, written by alum and Adjunct Faculty, Kirsten Childs, (Cycle 4) was a part of Playwrights Horizons’ fictional podcast series Soundstage. Based on a favorite family story, the musical follows Mrs. Annie Brown who is determined to watch her favorite soap opera but has to deal with segregation in the 1950’s American South to succeed. Playwrights Horizons launched Soundstage in response to theatres going dark due to the pandemic.
