Sam Carner and Derek Gregor, an award-winning songwriting team, lead a month long course this summer at GMTW. They considered how to translate thoughts and experiences into words and music. Through close analysis of a wide variety of classic and contemporary songs—as well as detailed discussions of the student's own material—the class culminated in a presentation of songs written during the course.
