Several alums from The Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program had their original short musicals presented at Prospect's annual Musical Theater Lab. This year, the lab brought together writers to investigate the "rule of three": a writing principle that suggests a trio of events or characters is more humorous, satisfying, or effective than other numbers.
The concert of short pieces took place on November 17, 2021 at the Peter Norton Symphony Space and featured the following Program alumni:

- Marcus Scott (Cycle 22)
- Dani Shoulman & Erin Hoerchler (both Cycle 29)
