Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program alum selected for Berkeley Rep Ground Floor's 2026 Summer Residency Lab. This 1-2 week residency lab fosters the creation of new work, with the intention of moving a project to the next stage in its development.
DAY TRIPPERS, cowritten by Carmel Dean (Cycle 12), follows eight Americans on a trip to Mexico in search of affordable medication. What begins as a pharmacy runs turns into a chaotic but ultimately healing journey.
ÉL Y ELLA, cowritten by Jaime Lozano (Cycle 18), follows two Mexican artists and their love story as they move to New York and build a life. This Spanglish musical blends contemporary beats with Mexican musical traditions.
IT COMES WITH THE BUILDING, cowritten by Rebekah Greer Melocik and Jacob Yandura (both Cycle 20), follows Theo and Henry, who move into their dream home in New York City - or is it a nightmare?
SIX NATIONS ONE FIRE, co-created by Ty Defoe (Cycle 22), tells the story of the different incarnations of Jigonsahseh, the first Clan Mother. The performance incorporates text, movement, and song, and explores the historic impact and current relevance of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy’s Great Law of Peace.
