Over the weekend of Sept. 20th thru the 22nd the GMTWP hosted its annual SESSIONS event at 715 Broadway. SESSIONS brings together current students, faculty, and alumni from the Program for a weekend of idea and skill sharing. Members of the GMTWP community volunteer to lead a session on a topic of their choosing to share their expertise and knowledge with the rest of the community. Sessions included topics such as self-producing, how to write a television pilot, ins and outs of industry contracts, tips on how to make an audio demo, podcasting, and also included a variety of panels on teaching artistry, women in theatre, and working professionally as a musical director. The weekend kicked off with an evening to honor alumni, remember those who had passed, and to celebrate long-time faculty member Sybille Pearson as she prepared to retire after years of wonderful service to the Program.
