Deborah Brevoort (Cycle 6, Adjunct Faculty)
GMTWP Alum and Adjunct Faculty Member Deborah Brevoort was one of the 33 playwrights, sketch comedy writers, and musical theatre developers hired by Florida Studio Theatre to create brand new work for the stage as part of its Playwrights Project. Over the course of 7-8 weeks, Deborah will be working on a full length play currently titled "The Drolls," which will be considered for future production on FST's Mainstage.
The Playwrights Project is an artistic initiative employing 33 of the country’s top playwrights, sketch comedy writers, and musical theatre developers. With funding from the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), FST has hired these artists as full-time staff writers. The material generated during this time will be considered for future production in FST’s Mainstage, Cabaret, Sketch Comedy, and Children’s Theatre programs.
