"Samedi Cinema" by Mamadou Dia

The 73rd Venice International Film Festival line-up has been announced, and the following Grad Film community projects have been selected:

Student Mamadou Dia's film, "Samedi Cinema," and Adjunct Professor Tim Sutton's film, "Dark Night," have been selected for Orizzonti - an international competition dedicated to films that represent the latest aesthetic and expressive trends in international cinema.  

"The Bad Batch," DP'd by alum Lyle Vincent, has been selected for Venezia 73 - an international competition of feature films, presented as world premieres. 

Alumnus James Franco's "In Dubious Battle", and Laurie Simmons' "My Art" - DP'd by Adjunct Professor Tom Richmond - have been selected for Cinema nel Giardino (Cinema in the Garden).
