A.V. Rockwell with the Through Her Lens Jury
Student A.V. Rockwell won the Through Her Lens: Tribeca Chanel Women's Filmmaker Program, which includes $80,000 to fully finance her film Feathers. Rockwell competed against four other female filmmakers in a three-day intensive program where they received mentorship from women in all areas of the industry. At the end of the program Rockwell pitched her film to a jury and was selected for the prize.
Feathers follows a young black man as he tries to escape a juvenille detention center.
