At last night's BAFTA Awards, Professor Carol Dysinger won Best Short Film for Learning to Skateboard In A Warzone (If You’re A Girl).

Dysinger’s short tells the story of young Afghan girls learning to read, write - and skateboard - in Kabul. It has received overwhelming praise, also winning Best Documentary Short at Tribeca Film Festival and Best Short from the International Documentary Association. Most recently, Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone received a Best Documentary Short Subject nomination at the upcoming 92nd Academy Awards.
