Grad Film Alum Sophie Goodhart is directing episodes of the second season of Netflix’s Sex Education! The show follows a socially awkward high school student who sets up a sex clinic at school to capitalize on his talent for sex advice, a product of living with his sex therapist mother. Season 2 was in high demand following this year’s success; Netflix revealed that season 1, which Goodhart wrote three episodes of, was watched by over 40 million households within a month of it’s premiere.
Goodhart will be joining director Ben Taylor, who directed and executive produced the show’s first season. The new season will be eight episodes, and will feature the returning cast of Gillian Anderson, Asa Butterfield, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa and Aimee Lou Wood. An official realease date has yet to be set.
