Grad film student and faculty works were featured at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival. Here are the films that were curated into the festival:
Harriet, directed by Kasi Lemmons (professor), had its world premiere at the festival in the Gala Presentations. The biopic is about renowned abolitionist Harriet Tubman, who escaped slavery and risked her life to lead others to freedom. Read more about Harriet at tiff.
RAF, written and directed by Harry Cepka, had its world premiere at the festival in Discovery TIFF ‘19 - Directors to Watch. The film is about a woman's deadbeat life changes when she meets her new BFF. Read more about Raf at tiff.
