Aisha Ford's "Be a Fish" Receives Honorable Mention in Narrative Shorts at Urbanworld

Grad Film Student Aisha Ford’s short film “Be A Fish” won Honorable Mention in the Best Narrative Short Category at this year’s Urbanworld. The short was selected out of 32 nominees in the Best Narrative Short category by a jury of prominent entertainment influencers. Among the jury was Brenda Gilbert, the Co-Founder & President of BRON Media Corp, and Dionne Harmon, the VP of Development at Jesse Collins Entertainment.

“Be A Fish,” which Ford wrote and directed, follows an African-American girl obsessed with her hair who embarks on an underwater adventure with a fish after her mom forces her to go below the surface. The short’s screening at Urbanworld marked its New York Premiere.
