Na'ama Keha Receives Ronit Elkabetz ‘Rising Star’ Pomegranate Award

3rd year student Na’ama Keha was chosen to be the 2018 recipient of the Ronit Elkabetz "Rising Star" Pomegranate Award by the 21st New York Jewish Sephardic Film Festival. 

The French producer, César and Golden Globe award winner, Said Ben Said, recived the 2018 Pomegranate Award, and Na'ama joined him as this year's "Rising Star."

In addition to the award, the festival showcased Na’ama’s first film as a writer/director - Keep It Cool.

The short, starring Michael Aloni and Ariel Mortman, tells the story of Tomer, a teenage girl, who is having an unexpected visit by her older brother Uri. Uri, has been injured during his service in the IDF and is now confined to a wheelchair. He is processing his physical challenges while she is discovering her own sexuality and womanhood.
