Nettles, a film directed by thesis student Raven Jackson, has been selected for the San Sebastian International Film Festival Nest program. Nettles was produced by thesis student Maria Altamirano and shot by alumnus Jomo Fray. The short is one of 14 films selected from hundreds submitted from film schools around the world and will represent not just NYU in the program, but also the United States.
Nettles is a short film told in six distinct chapters which each explore stinging moments in the lives of different girls and women.
The 66th San Sebastian International Film Festival will take place later this month from September 21-29.
