The Cherry Tortured
A New Play By Aaron Posner
Based on an Old Play By Anton Chekhov
Directed By Jeff Wise
Miss Lulu arrives today! She’s returning to her ancestral home and the bosom of her complicated family and friends... whom she hasn’t seen in five years. She will find a crumbling world of love, longing, hope and heartache... as well as aching memories of old losses, and new losses looming on the horizon. How do we move forward when everything we love is on the line? From award-winning playwright Aaron Posner (Stupid Fucking Bird, Life Sucks) comes The Cherry Tortured, a wildly funny and achingly human re-imagining of Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard.
