Red Noses

Written by Peter Barnes

Directed by Mark Wing-Davey

Premiere: Thursday, December 3, 2020

Barnes’s 1985 masterpiece—the epic journey of a comedy troupe during the Black Plague in 14th Century—has never been performed professionally in New York (although Grad Acting has done it twice—way back in the 20th Century!).  It’s a vibrant comic tapestry, incisively pertinent to our time, and brought to life through the acting talents of the Grad Acting Class of 2021, the inventiveness of the designers from Design for Stage and Film, guided by the robust imagination of Mark Wing-Davey.

RED NOSES was conceived from the start as a zoom-created film and will be streamed as such. The special premiere event will be on the evening of the 3rd (exact time to be announced), along with opening night red carpet virtual programming. The film will be available for streaming for a limited time, subsequent to the premiere (exact schedule to be announced).

Mark your calendars—it will be an unique experience!
