Chair's Discussion Series: Theatre In Response
Please join us on Thursday, October 26 from 12:15pm - 1:45pm for a panel discussion hosted by our MFA Student Reps.
In this Chair's Discussion, Literary Managers, Associate Artistic Directors, and Dramaturgs will discuss how theaters and artists attempt to respond to their times. How do global crises, like COVID-19 and Climate Change, and movements, like BLM and strikes, shape theatrical conventions, conversations, and seasons? What trends and cycles have we seen? Moving forward, what might we hope to see more of?
Moderated by Sarah Einspanier, featuring a panel of Alexis Williams - Associate Artistic Director - Playwrights Realm; Amrita Ramanan - Director of New Work Development - Public Theatre; and Victor Cervantes Jr. - Associate Producer of New Work and Innovation & Strategy - Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
