A kidnapping-gone-awry leaves two Egyptian-American immigrants with a boy in their basement, the threat of deportation, and God’s judgement looming over their heads.
Forest Malley (not O’Malley– Malley is a fake last name and he’s a bit less Irish than that) is a Brooklyn-based playwright and performer from Massachusetts. His work explores memory, migration, queerness, divas, and his Arab-American heritage. He was one of seven winners of the 2022 Theater Masters Take Ten Festival, a finalist for the 2024 Page 73 Writing Fellowship, and a finalist for the 2023 O’Neill National Playwright’s Conference for his play Gidou. He is currently a member of the Page 73 Writer's Group and a Planet Fitness in Bushwick. M.F.A: NYU Tisch School of the Arts ‘23; B.A: Harvard University ‘20.
Jack Serio is a New York-based theatre director. He recently directed the critically acclaimed production of Uncle Vanya staged in a Flatiron loft. The production earned 3 Drama Desk nominations and for it, he was named a "New King of Culture" in Town & Country Magzine. More recently, he directed the U.S. premiere of The Animal Kingdom at The Connelly Theater Upstairs and the return engagement of On Set With Theda Bara at The Brick. He also directed the celebrated U.S. premiere of This Beautiful Future at The Cherry Lane Theater, a NY Times Critic's Pick. His work has been seen at Playwrights Horizons, Ars Nova, Clubbed Thumb, 59e59, Cherry Lane, Theaterlab, The Brick, Theater for the New City, and The Pearl Theater Company.
