On Wednesday, June 24, Professor of Drama Carol Martin will speak in an international lecture series of themed conversations between leading scholars and faculty from the Yolanda and David Katz Faculty of the Arts, Tel Aviv University, exploring Art, Culture, and Society in the Post-(Coronavirus) Age.
As the coronavirus pandemic grinds on, scholars will discuss the role of the arts and culture as social instigators, sites of debate, and modes of reflection. The online series will explore how art and culture can and should prepare for the post-pandemic era.
Martin will speak about the ongoing obsession with forming and reframing social, political, and historical truth in theatre in the age of digital technology; theatre innovation in the time of the coronavirus; and the challenges to theatre education in the academy.
