This October, Tisch students and alumni will have a rare chance to step behind the curtain of Broadway. On Tuesday, October 28, legendary producer Jeffrey Seller will visit NYU to share insights from his trailblazing career bringing new Broadway productions to life on the world’s biggest stage.
Seller—one of Broadway’s most prolific commercial producers—will reflect on his journey from aspiring theater artist to the force behind multiple Tony Award–winning productions. Drawing from his new memoir, Theater Kid, he will offer an unfiltered look at the joyous and gut-wrenching process of developing original musicals, building audiences, and redefining what makes a hit.
In a conversation moderated by Chris Jaehnig, NYU Tisch Drama’s Director of the Production and Design Studio, Seller will share insights designed to spark inspiration and industry perspective—and will answer questions from students and alumni, offering candid advice to the next generation of theater-makers.
