Ang Lee '84/'10 to receive Praemium Imperiale Award
NYU Tisch alumnus and Dean's Council member Ang Lee '84 (MFA, Kanbar Institute, Graduate Fim)/'10 Hon. has been named one of five recipients of the Praemium Imperiale Award of the Japan Arts Association. Lee is the first artist from Taiwan to receive the award. The Praemium Imperiale is the world’s largest and most prestigious art award in the five disciplines of painting, sculpture, architecture, music, and theatre/film.
