Suffs, a new musical by Shaina Taub '09 (BFA, Drama), produced by Rachel Sussman '12 (BFA, Drama), will make its Broadway debut in April of 2024.
Suffs examines the American women's suffrage movement through Taub's story, for which she wrote the book, music, and lyrics, and starred in the original production at the Public Theater in 2022. Set in the years leading up to the 19th amendment, the musical explores the movement's victories and failures.
In its Broadway premiere, the show will also be produced by Jill Furman, and co-produced by Hillary Clinton and Malala Yousafzai.
