Departmental Info Sessions

Most Tisch graduate departments host info sessions between September-December while the application is open to give prospective students the opportunity to learn more about the program and meet department staff, faculty, and/or students.

Arts Politics

Info sessions for the 2027 admissions cycle will be available soon!

Administrators from the Art & Public Policy department are available to meet with prospective students to provide information about the one-year Master of Arts program. To request an in-person or virtual meeting, reach out to the department directly at tisch.arpo@nyu.edu.

Virtual sessions

Learn more about the Design for Stage & Film MFA program and application process. Virtual info sessions are conducted by Administrative Director Barbara Cokorinos and feature the department chair, Justin Townsend, and current students.

Game Design

Campus Tours and Virtual Info Sessions

The Game Center hosts monthly tours (located at 370 Jay Street) and monthly virtual info sessions for prospective MFA applicants. If you're unavailable for the scheduled tours/info sessions and would like to arrange a visit at a different time, contact the Game Center directly at gamecenter@nyu.edu.

Playtest Thursdays

If you’re making a game, you need to playtest! The Game Center hosts Playtest Thursday every Thursday from 5:30-7:30pm. Bring your work-in-progress game and get feedback from fellow game makers. No game is too early in development for Playtest Thursday, and all types of games are welcome. 

Fill out the Playtest Thursday visitor request form to gain access to 370 Jay Street on Playtest Thursdays this Spring 2026 semester.

Every fall, we host online info sessions for prospective students. Below is the 2026 schedule for Summer 2027 prospective candidates:

Campus visits

Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP)

Midori Yasuda, ITP’s Admissions Director, will explain how ITP attracts students from very diverse backgrounds who want to experiment with interactivity, creativity and technology in the real and digital worlds. Questions about the department and the admissions process are addressed and a tour of the facilities will be provided.
