Graduate Admissions Info Sessions

Join staff members from the Tisch Office of Graduate Admissions to learn more about the 2027 application process and requirements, offered every Tuesday from September-November at 10:00 AM ET. Info sessions include an overview of graduate programs at Tisch, application timelines, details about material requirements, and time at the end for your questions. Info sessions are not recorded.

In addition to a Graduate Admissions info session, which covers general application information, we recommend attending an info session offered by your department of interest to get more in-depth, program-specific information.

Departmental Info Sessions

Most Tisch graduate departments host info sessions between September-December while the application is open to give prospective students the opportunity to learn more about the program and meet department staff, faculty, and/or students.

The Game Center hosts monthly tours (located at 370 Jay Street) and monthly virtual info sessions for prospective MFA applicants. Playtest Thursdays

If you’re making a game, you need to playtest! The Game Center hosts Playtest Thursday every Thursday from 5:30-7:30pm from September 10-December 3 (except Thanksgiving Day). Bring your work-in-progress game and get feedback from fellow game makers. No game is too early in development for Playtest Thursday, and all types of games are welcome. 

Fill out the Playtest Thursday visitor request form to gain access to 370 Jay Street on Playtest Thursdays this Fall 2026 semester.

Grad Film

Learn more about the Graduate Film Department's MFA program in Filmmaking and the MBA/MFA Dual Degree in Film Producing program. Presenters include members of the faculty, the film department's admissions director, as well as current students (schedules permitting). The sessions will also include a Q&A about the program and the admissions process.

In person session

The in person session takes place at the Grad Film department at 721 Broadway. This information session will feature faculty and current student speakers, along with an admissions presentation. Time permitting, a short tour of the facilities will be offered after the session concludes.

Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP)

Midori Yasuda, ITP’s Admissions Director, will explain how ITP attracts students from very diverse backgrounds who want to experiment with interactivity, creativity and technology in the real and digital worlds. Questions about the department and the admissions process are addressed and a tour of the facilities will be provided.
