Charlie is a Playwright, Screenwriter and writer for Television. His new plays MARRIED LIFE and SIBLING RIVALRY are being workshopped  by Cincinatti LAB Theater's New Works Festival  July '23 and will be produced at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August '23. He recently completed a new Comedy/Thriller/Horror screenplay THE ADJUNCT. Charlie is the writer and producer of the Off-Broadway Musicals GOLDSTEIN (Published by Stage Rights and nominated for Best Off Broadway Musical 2018 by The Off Broadway Alliance) and THE FARTISTE (Best Musical NYC Fringe, Off-Broadway and in concert at The Charring Cross Theater in London's West End). The Fartiste was based on his screenplay of the same name. Off-Broadway Credits include: Angel of Death (American Jewish Theater), The Ground Zero Club (Playwrights Horizons), and The Birthday Present (Circle Rep). Charlie has premiered new plays at New Jersey Rep and The Magic Theater in San Francisco. Other awards include: The Charles MacArthur Award for Comedy, The Paulette Goddard Fellowship, The Walton Fellowship (Arena Stage). He was also a three-time winner of The Avery Hopwood Award for Drama from The University of Michigan. Charlie's plays are published by The Dramatists Play Service. His chapter on Playwriting appears in The Portable MFA in Creative Writing (Writers Digest). Charlie wrote sketch comedy for The Apollo Comedy Hour television show for three seasons (Tribune Company/Inner City Broadcasting) He has also sold 1/2 hour pilots to CBS and 20th Century Television. He is currently out with a new pilot called CRISIS U.
