Craig S Pickard

Craig Pickard is a designer, creative technologist and coder from Cape Town, South Africa.  Prior to completing his masters degree at ITP he worked as an Industrial Designer, focusing on three-dimensional design and CAD modeling.  Entering the program with a design-heavy background allowed him to concentrate on learning new skills and focusing on new areas of interest, such as creative coding and software development.

In addition to exploring alternative interfaces and modes of interaction for desktop CNC machines, his work work at ITP focused heavily on combining physical objects and interfaces with interactive applications.  Moving forward, he will be continuing his research into opensource CNC machines, as well as exploring the intersection of art and cryptography.  Craig also works as a creative technologist and software engineer for NYC-based experiential production company Black Egg.
