Michael Raine

Michael grew up dancing around the Boston area, and graduated with a BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 1996. After touring the country and Europe as a dancer and actor, he settled into teaching at the CAP21 Conservatory, where he has spent over a decade on faculty. He has taught for Steps on Broadway, Tap Ties, Camp Broadway, and Music Theater Italy, as well as teaching for NYU’s Graduate Acting Department since 2008. Choreography credits include: Rent, Thoroughly Modern Millie, On the Town, A Letter to Harvey Milk, 42nd Street, I Sing!, Soul Doctor and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Michael has studied Puppetry and Biomechanics in Bulgaria, Stanislavski in Moscow, and the Viewpoints and Suzuki with Anne Bogart’s SITI Company.
