Ron Shalom
Adjunct Instructor
Ron Shalom is the genre-defying producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, installation artist, music director, and theater maker whose maverick songwriting and immaculate pop instincts have made him one of the most inventive voices in contemporary performance. His sound sculptures, permanent installations, and theater works have been presented internationally throughout Europe, South America, and the United States. He is the founder and music director of Belly Chorus, a vocal music community in New York City dedicated to ensemble-led singing across traditions and the creation of new choral works. Minivan is his ecstatic and surreal immersive live show featuring lighting, camp couture, absurdist ritual, and pop bangers. He is a 2026 Henson Grantee, Fellow at the Center for New Jewish Culture, and Creative Residency awardee at the Hambidge Center.
