LyraPramuk

Lyra Pramuk (b. 1990) teaches Experiments in the Furture of Performing at NYU Berlin. She is a vocalist, composer, and performance artist based in Berlin, Germany. Her work fuses classical vocalism, pop sensibilities, performance practices, and contemporary club culture in what can best be described as futurist folk music. Devotional music embodies the deep-seated human urge to express our innermost, primal emotions. For Pramuk, devotion is ingrained in her compositions that harness the power of technology to expand the human voice as an object of limitless possibility. Lyra holds a BM in Voice Performance from the Eastman School of Music. Recent works include her debut album Fountain, and subsequent conceptual remix album, Delta. Pramuk has an ongoing collaboration with artist Donna Huanca. Other collaborations include Holly Herndon, Colin Self, and Ben Frost. She has been featured at prominent festivals and venues across Europe, the United States, and Australia. Pramuk is regularly commissioned for instrumental compositions, film scores, and sound installations.
