Kevin Marple
MA Media Producing Class of 2026

Hometown: Dallas, Texas

Kevin Marple's career as a photographer began in the days of film. He received a bachelor's degree in photography with a minor in radio, TV, and film. Then, he assisted several photographers before becoming the full-time assistant to a nationally known food photographer for three years before venturing out solo.

Kevin now has a 25-year track record of producing shoots where attention to detail, time management, creative problem-solving, and beautifully articulated storytelling help brands thrive. This journey has also allowed him to gain experience directing talent, including celebrity chefs, agency talent, and non-professional performers.

He has worked with numerous celebrity TV chef personalities on cookbooks, magazines, and advertisements, such as Wolfgang Puck, Chef John Tesar from Top Chef, Top Chef Masters, and Beat Bobby Flay, Chef Tiffany Derry from Top Chef and Chopped, and Chef Tim Love from The Next Iron Chef and Chopped. His work has also appeared in two episodes of Beat Bobby Flay, and he has produced and directed three commercials for a national restaurant chain.

His goal has always been to create imagery that truly resonates with an audience. He has mastered commercial photoshoots and is now shifting to narrative and documentary filmmaking. He has two documentaries that he produced, shot, and directed in post-production, and he is in pre-production on an episodic cooking series with a celebrity chef. He is currently completing his Masters in Media Producing from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
