Why are you pursuing the MA Media Producing?

Ultimately, I want to tell stories and help other people tell their own. That’s something I’ve been doing most of my life. I think this program is a major step to me doing it on a much bigger and more professional scale. I’ve been fairly scrappy since moving to Nashville, filming myriad projects from music videos to unscripted “local tourism” pilots to concept projects, short films, commercials, and more. But all this time I’ve largely been just “making it work.” I am ready to make something that truly makes an impact. The Tisch MA Media Producing program is a key piece to helping guide my hand in the right direction. It is a resource, a community, a source of accountability, and a fountain of inspiration, yes — but it’s also a commitment to myself. It’s a bet on my passion and, I believe, a catalyst to creating something special out here.
