Rose DeSiano, a 2001 graduate of the Tisch Department of Photography & Imaging, has been selected as the winner of the Flow.17 Public Arts Commission on Randall's Island.

DeSiano will install several large-scale installations on Randall's Island in a project entitled Island of Empirical Data and Other Fabrications which combines photographs with historical data in order to "explore the complexity and reflexivity of culturally-constructed histories."

The work will be unveilled during FRIEZE New York on Saturday, May 6 at 12:00 PM. It will remain on view through November 2017.
