At the start of 2020, the medical news organization STAT announced that it had appointed Alissa Ambrose, an alum of the Department of Photography & Imaging at NYU Tisch, as their new Director of Photography and Multimedia.
She previously served as Deputy Director, Multimedia & Creative. Before joining STAT as a photo editor, Alissa coordinated photography coverage for NationSwell and CBS News, contributed to Time Magazine’s LightBox blog, and worked as a freelance journalist in New York and Ukraine. Alissa also received a master’s in international reporting from the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism.
