Forcefold

Forcefold, May 6th, 2025

Seamus Slattery (BA '23) will share an in-progress performance work, Forcefold, as part of Movement Research’s Open Performance series on Tuesday, May 6th at 7PM.

Forcefold is a durational piece that engages the audience as an active mechanism, exploring the re-association of proprioception through sound, video, and movement. This work navigates sensorial re-association and investigates the limits and peripheries of embodied experience. It reaches toward affective states of being and considers the dynamics of visibility and disappearance—proposing new ways to think through and with bodies.

Forcefold will be presented alongside works by two other artists at Movement Research (150 1st Avenue, New York, NY). The piece is a collaborative effort developed by Seamus Slattery, Jackie Bramhall-Heck, Chloë Kohlhoss, and Paramax.
