PS PhD Candidate Pamela Santana Oliveros
Performance Studies PhD candidate Pamela Santana Oliveros has been awarded a Public Humanities Fellowship from The Latinx Project at New York University. This fellowship allows graduate students to gain professional experience with local arts and cultural organizations. Oliveros will join the 2025 cohort and engage in a reciprocal collaboration with The Latinx Project this summer. Below, she reflects on her motivations for applying:
What motivated you to apply for The Latinx Project Fellowship, and what are you looking forward to?
Working with The Latinx Project will be an opportunity to engage in writing, thinking, and collaborating practices that advance my current research and interests in connection to broader concerns for Latin American studies of art, culture, and performance. In this new stage of my life in New York, I am seeking experiences where I can grow professionally and establish meaningful and nurturing connections. I see this fellowship as an opportunity to connect with the Latinx community in New York and build a network of work and collaboration for future projects.
