I am a Peruvian dance researcher and artist working on creating interconnections between dance, anthropology and gender. My research interests are the anthropological study of dance and the body, aesthetics and politics, and the intersections between gender, dance and performance in Latin America. I teach at the Performing Arts Department of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.

Why PS @NYU?

I chose the Performance Studies Program at NYU because is a top program in PS. I wanted to study in an environment where I can feel both nurtured and challenged. I think PS at NYU is the best place to pursue this given its renown Faculty and program contents. I am looking to expand my knowledge on dance through performance studies as lens and methodology to look at embodied behavior.
