Minh-Trung Nguyen was an entertainment and fashion reporter (Harper's Bazaar Vietnam) before working for a global corporation in Clothing production (Uniqlo). These non-linear experiences shaped them as a thinker. Their theoretical works and metaphysical body are a mixture of Eastern (native Vietnamese) and Western (academic training) knowledge, which can't be defined with distinct binary, therefore as an artist and writer, they aspire to celebrate identity as a "global citizen" per se.

Why PS @ NYU?

I pursue the meaning of Arts in everyday life. Owning the lenses of Performance Studies, one will be able to narrate events, objects, creatures as moving bodies enacting performances. Life, then, animates. At the same time, the training frames my trajectory as an artist and writer - wrartist I would say, giving me choices, connections and a community that supports and enrich intellectuality and creativity.
