Jeremy Swanton
B.A. 2018
Jeremy Swanton is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and theatre/filmmaker whose original work has taken him across the country. As a performer and musician, his creative projects explore voice, performance, and the formation of identity structures throughout time and language—a focus rooted in his Performance Studies background analyzing the performance of everyday life.
Jeremy co-wrote and premiered the musical Contact High Off-Broadway at Ars Nova's Theatre 511, and created the television series Act of Faith, which premiered at the Austin Film Festival and streams on Amazon Prime and Tubi. He also served as the costume designer for the Children of Eden concert premiere at Broadway in Chicago.
Having launched theatre companies in both NYC and Chicago, he recently founded Equality Stage Theatre Company in Wyoming, which celebrated its debut production this past summer. He currently works as a theatre instructor at Central Wyoming College while continuing to develop new works for the stage and screen.
