The Center for Media, Culture and History is presenting The Washing Society, a hybrid documentary film, along with a brief reading and performance from Hand Book: A Manual on Performance, Process, and the Labor of Laundry on Friday, February 6th at 5 PM. The film was co-directed by Open Arts instructor Lizzie Olesker, and the book co-authored by Olesker as well. A discussion led by historian Tera Hunter will follow.
