Current Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program Cycle 32 student Carlos Bauzys releases "Songbook Barbatuques: Volume 1" featuring 12 scores and 4 lead sheets transcribed by Bauzys, an award-winning Brazilian musician who has collaborated with the group Barbatuques for many years. The songbook provides, for the first time ever, the authorized sheet music that was played and revised by the Brazilian group itself, which is considered the most important body percussion music group in the world. The songbook is also an historic edition made in honor of the late Fernando Barba.
Bauzys developed the notation in order to transcribe Barba's body percussion pieces.
